Sweedeedee wine club is for the open minded and adventurous seeking wine drinkers. You'll get to taste and learn about natural wines that go beyond deliciousness and popularity. For us, these wines spark intrigue and evoke sentimentality. These are wines we enjoy drinking most together and want to share with our community! We will tell you about their origin stories, region & terroir, the people who made it, farming & cellar practices, and how each of these facets harmoniously interacted with one another to create a memorable wine.

Wine club will expose you to some niche and often hard-to-find natural wine literature. We'll feature writers who have taken the time to get to know these winemakers, walked on their vineyards, tasted their wines directly from their cellars, and shared many long meals and drinks together. This kind of first-hand experience is invaluable. We can study and regurgitate tech sheets until our eyeballs fall out, but you’ll gain a better understanding of these wines from those who have built meaningful relationships with the individuals, friends, and families who are behind the production.

You'll receive tasting notes from the Sweedeedee team, but these are not facts and should not fully dictate your opinion! Taste is, in a beautiful way, always subjective and fosters with it all of the idiosyncrasies of our individual being. There is a distinct difference between personal preference and aesthetic judgement. Our subjective experience is entrenched — it cannot be wrong that we enjoy (or don’t enjoy) something. While we might be off-put by the taste of stale chocolate covered cherries in a Gamay, you might be delighted by flavors of Dr. Pepper and Fernet. Your answer is as valid as ours.

The way we experience wine also depends on the circumstances; whether we're alone or amongst company, celebrating or commiserating, overwhelmingly stressed or happy and relaxed. Is it a summer afternoon? Is it a winter evening? Our current mood and surrounding environment can strongly influence our impression of a wine. Knowing this, I want to encourage everyone to taste judiciously, with ease and confidence. No rash judgements here.

Before we go down a rabbit hole (plenty of opportunities ahead to do that), let’s learn and taste! Throughout our write-ups, we will provide links to regions, grape varieties, perhaps unfamiliar wine-related vocabulary, producer websites, etc. so feel free to click around and get lost in the tangential web of natural wine. Cheers!
